The last question was quiet rude, But i answered patiently. He then
said "Your passport will be sent to you".
Then I wasn't really able to believe it. once out of the counter I
sat in a place and checked what all he had returned. He had taken my
PP along with the DS forms.

Me: Actually I was attracted to the preventive potential of medicine
from the undergraduate years itself…..and from my student days to my
internship I was witness to the many end stage diseases we handled
and how little we achieved in terms of therapeutic success, even
after utilizing much of the available manpower , bed space and other
resources…especially in the case of infectious disease and cancers .
we felt that …had they been screened for and detected at an earlier
stage, a great reduction in poorer outcomes could have been achieved
….and at a fraction of the current cost. So I felt that pubic
health with it's emphasis on prevention can play a great role in
India.

Vo: ok but is this MPH a very administrative sort of course
Me:no, actually it is a less clinical part of medicine but
nevertheless a part of medicine.It is actually a community based
approach to tackle disease. It consists of many disciplines such as
Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental health, Community health
etc.

Vo: OK OK OK I got it!UTHSC is a very expensive school…what does
your father do?

VO:: but that is a lot of money!
Me: I know , but it is one of the best schools…the us news ranks it
among the top twelve of all the accredited SPHs!

important please give concrete names and professor references really

Thats it , its easy if you appear confident. Act as if you not
begging for a visa but you deserve one.
The first guy who got rejected infornt of me because he was very
nervous. He had both hands behind is back as a school child and gave
